We
are now booking and recording live club dates at the world famous Lighthouse
Cafe in Hermosa Beach, California. The series is entitled "Sunday
Afternoons At The Lighthouse Cafe" and features West Coast jazz
artists.
We opened
the series with The Jack Nimitz Quintet, followed by The Arno Marsh
Quintet, The Bob Enevoldsen Quintet, The Med Flory Quintet, The Lennie
Niehaus Octet, The Dave Pell Octet and The Jack Sheldon Quintet. The
resulting CDs are now available.
Our latest
scheduled event on September 23rd was a tribute to Carl Fontana with
Andy Martin and Scott Whitfield leading a quintet including Christian
Jacob, Trey Henry, and Ray Brinker.

Meanwhile, we are
now producing DVDs of The Kenton Alumni Series shows, "Live At
The Royal Palms Inn". There will be ten DVDs. The tenth being the
last night when Conte joined Carl, Pete and Perk and is not part of
the CD box set.
They are being released
one at a time starting with The Buddy Childers - Jack Nimitz Quintet
and then every other month or so thereafter. The second with The Bill
Holman - Conte Candoli Quintet is now available. The next two releases
will be Carl Fontana dates.
The running time
will be approximately 2 1/2 hours and some will have rehearsal time
as well. The shows consist of two sets and total fifteen tunes on average.
This is great historical viewing.
That's it. Stay
tuned.
